The Year
In a year characterised by a winter deluge and a scorching summer (not a single drop of rain fell in July and August), patience was key. Picking was delayed by a week and this decision paid off with wine with balance, good colour and tannins.
Tasting
Bright, fresh aromas of ripe red and black fruits are underscored by the typical Malvedos mint-eucalyptus notes, with subtle hints of dark chocolate. On the palate the wine is rich and broad, showing peppery spice and concentrated blackberry flavours, laced with layers of mint and bittersweet chocolate.
Storage & Serving
Store the bottle lying down. Decant to filter the natural sediment before serving. Enjoy within 2-3 days of opening.
