Produced from two low-yielding vineyards of just under 3 hectares laid out on magnificent stone terraces at Quinta dos Malvedos. We only make this Vintage Port in years of incomparable elegance and complexity.
A remarkable year that has produced extraordinary wines with remarkable freshness.
The Year
The 2017 vintage produced exceptional ports in the Douro. It was a dry year with compact bunches of excellent quality berries and extremely low yields. The advanced growing season resulted in our earliest ever recorded harvest start date.
Tasting
Scents of orange blossom and rockrose with notes of pine needles and bergamot. The palate is opulent and seductive, revealing mesmerising concentration and incredible intensity without detracting from the wine’s exceptional structure and balance.
Storage & Serving
Store the bottle lying down. Decant to filter the natural sediment before serving. Enjoy within 2-3 days of opening.
